I’ve been a patient at this clinic since 2023 and my experiences have ranged from concerning to unacceptable. In 2023, I was seen by Dr. Urkins and prescribed metformin, which affected my appetite significantly and made it difficult for me to eat normally. I also experienced a visit where I was told that my pregnancy may not survive or that my baby could be born with severe disabilities in a way that felt alarming and not handled with appropriate care or explanation. After that experience, I requested a different provider. More recently in 2026, I resumed care with Dr. Gail Matthews. After my ultrasound on June 28 and an appointment the same day, I reported spotting. I was told nothing immediately concerning was seen, but I was also given comments about miscarriage risk based on my age that felt dismissive and not balanced with my overall health status. A major concern has been communication and access to my medical records. I repeatedly requested basic prenatal information (including hemoglobin/iron levels and my due date) needed for WIC benefits. Despite multiple phone calls, messages, and follow-ups between June 29 and July 2, I did not receive timely responses. When I did reach

I have been to this clinic for the past 9 years. My doctor is professional, kind, and makes sure he understands what I need. The nurses have all been nice to me and the front office people are professional even when the clinic is crowded and noisy at times. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who wants a positive experience and leaves knowing that they got the answers and the help they needed. 🙏

I've been going here for over 10+ years, I was originally a youth (4) coming and no matter what me and my family did we could not change my doctor, I dont understand why but evey time we wanted to change locations or my primary doctor we would still end up with this same location (even though we moved all the way to spanaway) and the same doctor. My doctor (Holly. T) has always been dismissive and honestly cruel to my weight as a child. She would dismiss active problems and right them off as my weight (I'm sorry but how is my weight connected to an extreme ear infection???) Now that I'm not a pediatric i should not be under her care and yet I still am. I just want a new doctor and different location, I live 40+ minutes away from lakewood and there is a clinic right by my new house, we've (me and my parent) have tried making complaints and talking to anyone about this and nothing has changed.

Unfortunately like other reviews I am very frustrated and disappointed in this clinic and it’s staff. I went in a couple weeks ago to get a doctors note and was rejected because I hadn’t been seen by my primary care doctor in over a year. I understand there may be policies but explain that and give a patient and thoughtful response if that’s the case. I had tried to explain I had seen my psychiatrist at that same clinic this past December but they were incredibly dismissive and judgmental. It is not a healthcare staffs job to judge patients and deny care. There could’ve been other avenues like appointing alternatives or give an open slot for a singular doctors note, the amount of time it would’ve taken to get my vitals done and to be seen, explain aymptoms have nite and leave would’ve probably took under 15 minutes and I was there when they opened. Just because someone doesn’t appear stereotypically sick doesn’t mean that they’re not. For a clinic that is supposed to be accessible to low income families and individuals it’s wild to me that I was talked to and dismissed like I was. I will definitely be finding care elsewhere. As well as their means of trying to get in contact will

If I could give 0 stars I would. I tried to give these medical people a chance but as a black woman I am disgusted by the lack of concern and care I received from this place. Let's start with my initial visit the Dr was very passive and eager to leave the room before I discussed all my concerns. Never I mean never received any of the referrals I requested, was told oh I just can't refer you as if I'm not a grown adult who knows her body. I also gave them access to my old Dr in NC who stated I needed to see a specific specialist and I explained this still no movement. I put in request for blood test and so forth no assistance no care. Yet I have a growth on my forehead the Dr was so pressed to cut off and send for testing, I guess she was hoping it was be something bad but it wasn't. Yet now my growth keeps getting inflamed and bleeding way more than before and it's huge now. Before was a black dot on my head now a larger scab. Never reference me to go to dermatologist or anything. I can't call it but I believe it's because of two things I'm black and I have Medicaid. I wouldn't refer my enemy to these folks.
